I should start calling it my mood mash, as I flip through stations. And then, I landed on it... one of my current favorites. Listening to the Taylor / Kellie pairing never fails to put a big 'ole smile on my face! I'm embarrassed to admit it, but it's the current tune that gets me crankin' up the volume, rolling down all the windows, pulling back the moon roof, and pushing a little too hard on the accelerator. I love watching the country genre grow. Through all the criticism of "pop" country artists like Taylor, Rascal, etc., we're watching country music build up to an amazing opportunity... the chance to explode into a wide-encompassing genre of "American" music. I'll never give up loving my Alan, Brad, and classic outlaw country, but I'm excited to hear the rockin' sounds of Swift, Sugarland, and Urban too! The beauty is, there's room for all of us - any of us who have an authentic voice with the power to touch hearts and open minds. Thank God I can find treasures like "Sissy's Song" and "Best Days of Your Life" on the same station. Bringing emotions to life... That's the awesome power of music! God bless!
